Company Profile

SHARPER FUTURE, originally named “The SHARP Program,” was begun in 1995 in response to community need in San Francisco. Two psychologists, Dr. Mary-Perry Miller and Dr. Tom Tobin, drew upon their many years of public-sector experience providing administration and direct services in a community mental health system in order to create the SHARP Program.

The company began offering services in its San Francisco office in 1995 and opened the Los Angeles office in 1999. In the summer of 2002, an office was opened in San Diego and then in 2003, there was further expansion to the Inland Empire. The SHARP Program underwent a name change to SHARPER FUTURE in May of 2003. SHARPER FUTURE also now operates a number of satellite clinics including Oakland, Pleasant Hill, Sacramento, San Jose, Richmond & Moreno Valley. In mid 2004, the company opened a residential recovery program for women in Long Beach. SHARPER FUTURE’S main administrative office is located in Sonoma.
